Dominic Ryan is an artist and the director of the Peace Project Foundation. He has staged multiple peace events in 12 war and conflict zones across 3 continents. He is also the founder of The Peace Project, a non-governmental organization which deals with conflict resolution and the erection of humanitarian messages in war zones. Over the years, he has brought mayors and politicians into the no mans’ land between Gaza and Israel and written a declaration for conflict resolution, which was signed by world leaders in 2002 in Jerusalem. In 2012, he staged a peace concert in Tehran and was demarcating a cease-fire protocol between Thailand and Cambodia.
He has also designed the iconic Peace Museum - its grounds, sculptures, and archiving system. He plans to build two more; one in China and a second in Australia, focusing on the futility of war.
He was awarded the Liberte Prize for his work in Sarajevo.
