Prior to our upcoming exhibition, Rebecca visited relatives of the Namatjira family and the painters of the Hermannsburg school.
Rebecca went looking for the exact spot in Standley Chasm where Albert Namatjira painted.
Meanwhile, in Bond Street, New York our gallery manager Julia is installing our latest exhibition of G.W. Bot's captivating prints...
G.W. Bot, Glyphs - Portrait III, 2020, linocut on tapa cloth, 97 x 54 cm, framed, (38 x 21) in, Edition of 10, £1,250
In Alice Springs Rebecca spoke to local people about the current challenges faced in Central Australia from overdevelopment. At the same time, G.W. Bot's prints in New York take inspiration from the ever-changing Australian landscape.
The Canberra-based artist G.W. Bot has developed her own pictorial language of signs and 'glyphs' to capture - and communicate - the essence of the Australian environment, with all its extremes of fire and flood, drought and florescence.
G.W. Bot, Lake Mungo Glyphs - a Portrait, 2018, linocut on BFK paper, 56 x 38 cm, (22 x 15 in) Edition of 30, £965

In London this week we have been working with acclaimed artist Phil Shaw raising funds for the Red Cross Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
Phil Shaw has created a new limited edition print. entitled Solidarity - Cолідарність. Priced at £1,200, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross appeal.
Solidarity - Cолідарність features two shelves of books whose (entirely genuine) titles form a poignant comment on the past and on the urgent situation of the present. The book covers have been re-fashioned to form the Ukrainian Flag.
So far we have raised £68,000 for Ukrainian relief and the edition of 100 is almost sold out! Your incredible support has made this all possible.
