Agribusiness, Importance of Argentina and China relationship

China is not self-sufficient and in the following 25 years will need help from LATAM countries for the provision of food. The Argentina ambassador Diego Guelar described the importance that the Argentina agro industrial market has in China.

The Chinese public is becoming more sophisticated, so there is a huge market exporting high quality products. This increasing demand for valued added product is also an opportunity for SMEs.

Among the examples, the article talks about the potential market in Asia for the Dulce de Leche (caramel made in Argentina).

Also, explains some of the product that will enter to China, for instance, different cuts of meats, honey, dried peas, cherries, etc.

The ambassador explains how the fruits are considered a gift in China, and Argentina can enter in that market, as Chile does, exporting cherries. On top of that, the meat market is also a luxury, and Argentina should sell more.

Finally, the change in China´s diet, opting for occidental products like yogurt, which Argentina has a huge comparative advantage.
