Chinese tariff reform benefit Argentinean goods

Argentina embassy announced that, after analysing the tariff structure in China, there has been a tax reduction for 32 agro-industrial goods, a very beneficial reduction for Argentinean exports.

Among the list of 32 products, are shrimp, dairy products, baby formula. The tax reduction from 5% to 2% will help Argentinean products increase their competiveness among providers that have free trade agreements with China.

Argentinean ambassador Diego Guellar is confident that this new agreement will increase trade opportunities to do business with China and help to create a more efficient export logistic, being one of Argentina’s weakest aspects in meeting the Chinese demand.

The aim of this new legislation is to stimulate the consumer spending of 187 Argentinean products which China does not currently produce.
