Italian Immigration News: Delays And General Shortage Of Permit Of Stay Application Kits

We’re experiencing general shortage of Permit of Stay application Kits all over Italy and some delays during the different phases of the immigration processes.

We have identified the following main issues:

In some cities, application receipts (Ricevute Postali) are getting more and more difficult to source.
In many cases, police offices (Questura) are having difficulties in scheduling the fingerprints appointments. For such reason, many applicants are required to wait for an invitation to be sent via regular mail to their home-address.
In many cases, fingerprints appointments are being scheduled after serveral months (even 6-8 months) from the day of the permit of stay application.
