Italy Visa Application Centres in the People's Republic of China will remain closed until 9 Feb 2020 included

In light of the current Coronavirus alert, the Italy Visa Application Centres in the People's Republic of China will remain closed until 9 February 2020 included. At present the offices are due to reopen on 10 February 2020 however, the re-opening date may change, subject to further notifications from authorities.

Italy has in fact suspended the issuance of visas in the People's Republic of China at least until 9 February included. The Italian consulate in Hong Kong has communicates that until 14 February included, the visa office will accept only urgent applications.

In addition, Italian authorities have suspended all direct flights between Italy and the People's Republic of China (including the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau). The suspensions applies to Taiwan as well.
