GPS Tracking for Touristic Vehicles in Egypt
Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Decree no. 304 of 2021 provides that tourism companies that fall under category (A or C) are required to install tracking devices in their vehicles in accordance with the technical specifications within the framework plan set out by the competent general department of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
Such tourism companies shall be obligated to comply with the above decision by no later than the following periods:
1. Bus and Mini Bus: comply by no later than the 1st of March 2022.
2. Limousines: comply by no later than the 1st of June 2022.
In case of non-compliance, the license of the violating touristic vehicle shall be revoked.
