The “Saudi Building Code National Committee” has announced that the application of the Saudi Building Code is mandatory starting from 1 July 2021 for family and residential buildings.
Previously, residential buildings that didn’t exceed three (3) floors were not required to comply with the Saudi Building Code, but from 1 July onwards, the Saudi Building Code shall be applicable to all residential buildings including the buildings that do not exceed three (3) floors and designated for occupation of one family or two.
