The Decree stipulates that all automotive companies and showrooms in Egypt must display the cars’ prices in Arabic (along with any other language if desired), and that such announced prices must be inclusive of any applicable taxes.
Accordingly, the amount in final receipt issued to the customer must be equivalent to the price announced by the company/showroom to the public.
The Decree also requires that a car’s advertisement includes, not only the price of the vehicle, but also the specs such as the manufacturer, model, country of origin, class, and accessories. Such advertisement must also be affixed to the windshield of the vehicle.
The new regulations shall come into force as of 15 November 2021.
