NDRC collaborates with 18 provinces to promote production capacity exports

In light of the State Council’s policy on the promotion of production capacity and equipment exports to countries along the route of the “One Belt, One Road” Initiative, the National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) has signed collaboration agreements with 18 Chinese provinces. The agreements provide that the NDRC shall designate each province to concentrate its efforts on specific countries, work out a collaboration approach, seek financial support, and set up special purpose funds. For example, Fujian province shall deepen production capacity cooperation in mining, auto, fishery, shipping, information communication and bio-friendly machine building sectors with countries alongside the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, while Guangdong province shall focus efforts on industrial park development, electricity, non-ferrous metal, petro-chemical and agro-food sectors with South Asia and South-east Asian countries.
