On the occasion of the 30 anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uruguay, the investment promotion agency Uruguay XXI, will carry out in the main cities of China, a series of activities of economic relations, commercial promotion, tourism, investments attraction and positioning of the country brand, where the public and private sectors will be participating with the aim of continuing to expand Uruguay’s presence in the Chinese market, which is already Uruguay’s main partner, with a commercial exchange that reached US $ 2,549 million and a participation of 28% in the total of the exports.
In the month of August, Uruguay’s Week will be held in the cities of Beijing, Chongqing and Guangzhou (city in which the new consulate of Uruguay will be inaugurated). On the other hand, the institute will also participate in CHINA LAC 2018, which will take place between November 1 and 2 in the city of Zhuhái, China.
Given the excellent results obtained during CHINA LAC 2017, the objective of this participation is to give continuity and follow-up to all the activities and contacts generated during this event, in order to continue positioning Uruguay in China. The expectations go beyond increasing the trade of goods, but it is planned to continue increasing the arrival of Chinese investments to our country.
Finally, from November 5 to 10, Uruguay will participate with a country stand in the first edition of the expo destined for Chinese buyers. China International Import Expo is a key instance to contact buyers of the Asian giant and to realize international business.
