Uzbekistan is one of China's closest allies in the western region of Central Asia. Although it has a vibrant past and abundant natural resources, Uzbekistan also has a relatively simple economy. As the transportation hub of the Central Asia, Uzbekistan will play an important role within the One Belt, One Road Initiative.
