Highlights

Foreign direct investment (FDI) flows to the United Arab Emirates increased by 10 per cent to $23 billion – the highest level ever recorded.

The share of the UAE in FDI flows to GCC countries reached 61 per cent.

Worldwide, the UAE ranked 16th in 2022, from 22nd in 2021.

FDI outflows also rose by 10 per cent to $25 billion, making the country the 15th largest investor in the world, from 20th in 2021.

The number of announced greenfield projects surged by more than 80 per cent to almost one thousand, making the UAE the fourth largest recipient of greenfield projects in the world.
