ONLINE MARKETING SPECIALIST – SEO AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Role

  • Design and implementSEO strategy
  • Ongoing supervision of tagging by web editors to maintain SEO presence
  • Ongoing keyword research and market trend research to ensure proper audience targeting
  • Develop social media strategy
  • Develop and implement scalable processes for social media strategy (driving membership and traffic, holding campaigns and sweepstakesetc.)
  • Partner with Tech/Content and other relevant teams in content monitoring and customer service to ensure the optimized social media posting mechanism that can keep generating traffic
  • Supervise external SEO/PR companies and internal social media manager
  • Maintain and build website traffic tracking system; collect and circulate statistics;analyze same and make recommendations

Qualifications

  • English and Chinese Communication Skills
  • Strong understanding and/or experience with SEO techniques and trends
  • Experience with implementing social media & link building strategies in both Chinese and foreign markets
  • Have prior experience working with search engines, especially Baidu, Google & Yahoo
  • Knowledge of web development technologies: HTML, XML, CSS,etc. desirable
  • BA or BS in Marketing, Marketing Communication, Web Design/Development, IT, CIS, or other related field
  • Independent, reliable team player

WEB DEVELOPER: PHP/DRUPAL

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the web team manager and other team members (both Chinese and foreign) to provide a great user-experience on the CGAwebsite
  • Developwebsite and database according toconceptually and graphically presented plans;integrate plans intofully-functional Drupal web system
  • Create easily administrated programming codeby following agreed coding syntax
  • Develop functionalities in good modular and/or object-orientated methods.
  • Create and maintain documentation of software development process.
  • Manage your time efficiently.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in web development with LAMP
  • Expert in PHP language,with a deep understanding in Object Oriented Programming.
  • Sufficient practical experience in Drupal 7 framework andextensive familiarity with Drupal module development with API
  • Knowledge of front-end website development technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript (JQuery).
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and proactively problem solving skills
  • Experience working on large website is a plus.
  • Good communication skills in written &spoken English preferred

 

 

MEMBERSHIP MANAGER

Location: Beijing or Shanghai

Job Description:

ChinaGoAbroad is a members-only consultancy and online platform, which provides information about different countries and industries for Chinese outbound investments. Our members include leading international service providers, national investment promotion agencies, and senior Chinese executives and government officials. The Membership Manager will work closely with our website team and senior management personnel to:

  • Manage membership database
  • Update and maintain membership policies
  • Process membership invoices and membership agreements for all new members
  • Work with country/industry managers to reach out to new members, answer questions, and handle membership procedures
  • Update and maintain directory of subscribing members on CGA website
  • Assist with member-only CGA events (invitations, ongoing liaison, execution of event)
  • Keep statistics on members (per country/industry, type of company, size, stated interests etc) for internal marketing, content and SEO purposes
  • Inform members of policy changes, fee increases and other member-specific announcements
  • Ongoing member relationship management (directly or supporting the country/industry managers, as the case may be)

Qualifications:

  • English and Chinese
  • 2-3 years’ relevant work experience
  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) or higher, in a relevant field
  • Previous experience working in China strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills

INTERNSHIP AT CHINAGOABROAD.COM

Internships are available in the Summer (May – September) and Winter (December – March) annually in our Beijing offices. 

Exact dates are flexible, but you must be able to commit to at least 12 weeks.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to get hands-on exposure working at an Internet start-up company. Interns will receive a monthly stipend to cover general living expenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to content, marketing and / or business development functions
  • Conduct research
  • Draft / review newsletters, articles and correspondence
  • Assist with webinars and other events

Job Requirements:

  • Must be in the final 2 years of an undergraduate degree, or at a later stage of education
  • Fluent English required
  • Fluent Mandarin preferred
  • Excellent research, drafting and communication skills required
  • Work experience in one or more of the following preferred:
    • China
    • Internet businesses and/or start-ups
    • Investment-related businesses
  • Ability to work with colleagues from different cultures
