All outbound investment, regardless of the specific destination of such investment, have the unavoidable problem of language. Language is more than a tool. Language Services is an industry, which builds bridges for globalization of trade and thus is a driving force of economic development. Given that, it is necessary for us to explore how to develop this industry.
In recent years, outbound investment of China is obviously accelerating, the area of investment is expanding and the subjects of investment are becoming more diverse. However, due to the lack of knowledge of the detailed outbound investment process, investors may be exposed to greater business operation risks and communication difficulties.
Investors, when carrying outbound investment, should not only pay attention to the specific projects, but also have to understand the culture, religion and customs of the investment host countries, to which language is fundamental. Therefore, it is necessary to, in addition to understanding a language, treat and develop language services as an industry. We should establish more languages learning bases, through which we will be able to better learn and understand the culture and customs of other countries and ethnic groups in order to achieve success in outbound investment and foreign trade. At the same time, we should attach importance to outsourcing our own language and focus on and carry out the "going abroad" of culture, to achieve mutual benefits.
