China Overseas Development Association (CODA) is an industrial organization voluntarily made up of various planning and design committees, R&D institutes, enterprises and individuals in China who have invested, or are planning to invest, abroad. It is structured as a national non-profit social organization with corporate capacity, approved by the PRC Ministry of Civil Affairs.
Existing under the direct supervision of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the direction of the NDRC’s Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment, the Association provides services, including legal, accounting, consulting and engineering evaluation, for Chinese enterprises’ overseas investments. It also cooperates with investment promotion institutions in foreign countries to promote the development of Chinese enterprises around the world.
The Association has been actively implementing China’s “Going Abroad” strategy, serving as a bridge between the government and Chinese enterprises and investors.
