Our vision is to be recognised as a vibrant centre of research excellence in China Studies.

The Centre supports China-focused research across the University, and aims to attract new expertise and funding to pursue collaborative research opportunities nationally and internationally.

Key Activities

  • Providing seed-funding to enhance the calibre and quantum of China-related research, deliver high quality research outputs, and enhance the University’s capacity to win competitive research funding.
  • Conducting seminars and high profile public lectures for La Trobe University researchers and visiting academics to showcase and promote China-related research to the public and the broader academic community.
  • Leading and developing externally funded research projects involving extensive national and international collaboration.
