Washington D.C., September 5, 2014 - The Interamerica Group’s President and CEO, Jerry Pierce Jr., received the 2014 Golden Rule International Award given by The Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative Organization and the Department of Public Information of the United Nations. The award is given to those individuals who have “impacted your community with trust, dignity and have improved the quality of life of those you have touched through your humanitarian leadership under the organization which you serve.” The award ceremony was held at The United States Capitol Building. “I am sincerely honored to receive this prestigious award” said Mr. Pierce, “all of us should carry in our hearts the words and spirit of the Golden Rule to ‘Treat Others the Way You Want to Be treated’.” The award was given by Dr. Clyde Rivers, Executive Director of the international Interfaith organization and establishes Mr. Pierce as a Goodwill ambassador for the Golden Rule.

During the same ceremony, Mr. Pierce received an honorary degree of Doctorate of Philosophy in Humanities from The United Graduate College and Seminary International. United Graduate College and Seminary is a private Christian college and seminary located in over 50 nations with more than 100,000 graduates. Mr. Pierce was recognized for his humanitarian focus in international business over the last 20 years and for his Christian missionary service in Central America.
