Australian National University – VIP Alumni Dinner and Presentation on OBOR Political Risk Insurance

Date: 26 Jul 2016
Location: The Waldorf Astoria Beijing

Following the success of our trip to China last year, ANU College of Business and Economics took our trips back to China again at the end of July 2016 and hosted several alumni dinners in different cities. These events are an opportunity to reconnect and to facilitate networking among the fabulous CBE alumni community in China.

One of the special events on this trip was a VIP Alumni Dinner co-hosted by distinguished ANU alumnus Mr Jesse Chang (TransAsia’s managing partner and the founder of ChinaGoAbroad) and CBE Dean, Professor Shirley Leitch.

The discussion topic for the evening was One Belt, One Road and Political Risk.  In addition to Jesse, Mr. Xiaoping Zheng of the China City Development Foundation was a panelist and presented to the group about his pioneering work with infrastructure construction standards and political risk insurance. Mr. Christoph Waldersee, a renowned expert on development financing and sustainability, also participated in the panel.
