Paris Fine Art Consulting was founded by Helen Szaday von Gizycki, who has over 20 years of experience of fine art advisory and expertise for clients in Europe, the USA, Asia, and Australia.
She graduated from the Australian National University with an honors degree in Asian Studies and Asian Linguistics.
After working in New York and Tokyo as a Citigroup private banker for several years, Szaday joined Sotheby’s in 1989 as Managing Director of Financial Services (Asia). She moved to Paris in 1991 where she concentrated on business development and Sotheby’s auctions in Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore and Hong Kong.
After a 15-year career at Sotheby’s, Szaday established an independent art advisory business in Paris which has now evolved into Paris Fine Art Consulting.
In addition to art consulting, she actively supports franco-Asian cultural and educational initiatives. Her recent projects include securing Chinese funds to support a Paris museum exhibition of modern Chinese painters in France and catalogue raisonné research for several Asian artists.
She also sits on the board of the European Chamber of Art Experts.
