Junyi Bai was born in China’s Zhejiang province, but raised and educated in Italy. He holds an LL.B. and an LL.M from the University of Florence, is qualified as an Italian lawyer, and fluent in English, Italian and Mandarin.
Mr. Bai is a professor of Business Law at the Università degli studi Internazionali di Roma, and also the first law professor of Chinese origin to teach at an Italian university. In 2016, he was named by “Milano Finanza” magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the Italian-Chinese community.
Mr. Bai is the Vice-President of the Association of Chinese Lawyers in Europe. He is also the Founder and President of ASSOCINA, a national association of second-generation Chinese individuals in Italy. He serves in the strategic development department of the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce, which was established in 1970 and aims to promote trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Mr. Bai is a partner at Giovannelli & Associati. Prior to joining the law firm, Mr. Bai worked at the Beijing and Hong Kong offices of King & Wood Mallesons and CHIOMENTI. He has extensive experience in assisting Chinese companies in Italy with their investment and operational activities. His focus is in the automotive, machinery, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, luxury goods, real estate and e-commerce sectors.
