Biography

Roland A. Jansen, from The Netherlands, holds a degree in Business Administration (lic.oec.HSG) from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.  Mr. Jansen worked for several brokers and banks and commodity trading firms. During six years he was the largest producing broker for Cargill. He was Director Fund Management for the Liechtensteinische Landesbank in Liechtenstein, where he build up a CHF 2.5 billion fund business from scratch.

Presently he is the Principal of Mother Earth Energy in Liechtenstein. With a team of engineers and agronomists he develops renewable energy projects between € 20 - € 100 million.  Examples are the production of clean diesel from waste materials, the production of alternative, clean energy oils and the establishment of large scale bamboo plantations to absorb CO2 emissions.  Mr. Jansen is a specialist in CO2 certificates, carbon credits, carbon compensation and carbon reduction.

He is the author of two books:

1.Profits from Natural Resources“, John Wiley & Sons, New York (1998), where he forecasted correctly the end of the commodity bear markets and the start of a new supercycle upwards.

2.His second book is called: “Second Generation Biofuels and Biomass”, Essential Guide for Investors, Scientists and Decision Makers”, John Wiley & Sons. The book can be ordered at www.amazon.com.

Mr. Jansen writes blogs about green energy on his Linkedin page. He has appeared on Bloomberg Television to give his views on commodity and renewable energy trends. Interviews can be seen on YouTube. He is also a regular guest speaker at conferences and guest lecturer at universities around the world. Mr Jansen is a guest lecturer at the University of Liechtenstein. He was a speaker at the Fifth World Islamic Economic Forum in Jakarta and at a conference for Young Entrepreneurs in Beijing.

Mr Jansen serves as honorary consul of Indonesia in Liechtenstein. He is fluent in Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish and Swiss German and has a working knowledge of Italian and Portuguese. Through his diplomatic function Mr. Jansen has excellent relationships with governments at the highest levels in several continents.
