The Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and Chongqing Municipal Government officially published Opinions on Implementing the One Belt One Road Initiative and Building Yangtze River Economic Belt on 18 December 2014. As provided for in the Opinions, the Municipality will step up efforts on building five functional zones to echo the One Belt One Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt Initiative.
