From UAE to China: Cars by sea and rail

Date: 11 Mar 2022

A freight train loaded with 100 automobiles imported from the United Arab Emirates departed from Qinzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, and headed for Gansu province on Mar 4.

It is expected to reach Lanzhou in five days, and the vehicles will be sold nationwide.

This is the first time that motor vehicles made in a Middle Eastern county have been transported to China via a sea and rail international transport system along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

The Guangxi railway department prioritized the loading and unloading to improve efficient passage.

Freight trains have handled a total of 107,800 TEU of goods in the first two months of this year, a 64.8 percent year-on-year increase, which has injected new vitality into the creation of trade ties with regions and cities in the corridor.
