Luxembourg participates in launch of AIIB in Beijing

On June 29th, the representatives from 50 countries signed the articles of agreement of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing. This institution will fund projects in Asian countries having a bitter need of modern energy, transportation or communication infrastructures.

Luxembourg, represented by Ambassador Paul Steinmetz, was the first non-Asian country to become a member of the AIIB in March 2015. According to the agreement, Luxembourg will contribute up to around 70 million USD.
