Having only launched in May 2015, I’m pleased to inform you that Si is off to a very strong start with significant progress in all key areas including an overwhelmingly positive response from consulting experts and industry analysts.

Expert Update

Our growing expert network already includes a number of former Federal and State Cabinet Ministers with a concentration on key economic portfolios and a bipartisan spread. Also included are people with board and executive experience from Australian Banks, Superannuation Funds and Fund Managers.

The experience of Si Experts already includes Prime Ministerial level policy advisers and international credentials such as experts who have represented Australia to foreign governments and worked with international organisations such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, OECD, United Nations, G20 and APEC.

Other recent Si Expert appointments are from the highest levels of the public service including former Department Secretaries and Director-Generals across Victoria, Queensland and South Australia, with a concentrated depth of expertise in education policy, funding and regulation.

This deliberate education industry focus positions Si well in the ever growing international education environment, Australia’s largest service based export market, to attract clients for our Expert Members from China, India and South East Asia.

We expect to have a sufficient number of Experts as Si Members by early August to commence Client Engagement and Fee generation for our Si Members.

Client Update

Whilst activities have so far been focused on building our quality Si Expert Network, presentations to potential clients has been very positive, with an appreciation for the speed and flexibility of the platform and high quality of people. Word about Si is definitely spreading through our broader networks in Sydney and Melbourne.

Si Business Development activities to engage clients will begin in earnest during August, and we look forward to providing you with examples of client engagements in forthcoming updates.
