On 30 December 2016, the No. 1 Civil Division of the People’s High Court of Zhejiang Province and the Labor & Personnel Dispute Arbitration Commission of Zhejiang Province jointly issued the Replies on Several Issues Concerning the Trial of Labor Dispute Cases (IV) (Replies), effective as of the same date. Pursuant to the Replies, the authorities have set a uniform standard applicable throughout Zhejiang Province for the trial of labor dispute cases involving double wages, annual performance bonus, release and waiver clauses, and termination of employment contracts. All employers in Zhejiang Province are thus required to pay attention to the Replies.
