InterChina Water Treatment to acquire 15.1% interest in Denmark’s AQP for USD 14.65m

Heilongjiang InterChina Water Treatment Co., Ltd. announced on November 6 that its wholly-owned subsidiary in Hong Kong intends to acquire a 15.1% interest in Danish high-tech water technology company Aquaporin A/S (AQP) for USD 14.65m, a deal which will make InterChina the second largest shareholder of the company.

InterChina Water Treatment is a leading integrated service provider in environmental protection and water treatment and is looking to become a global leader in water treatment industry, and sees this investment as a step towards global expansion.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, AQP is dedicated to the R&D of aquaporin osmosis technology and has received investments from technology development funds in the EU, Denmark, and Singapore. AQP possesses world class core technology and holds 50 aquaporin membrane patents in Europe and America.
