The TCSOL Certificate Program in New York

The Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University currently offers three programs: TCSOL One-year Certificate program in New York City, TCSOL/TESOL Summer Dual Certificate Program in Beijing, and Chinese Tutoring Program. The first two programs are designed to offer state-of-the-art training to students and professionals interested in learning how to teach Chinese and/or English and the Chinese tutoring program provides one-on-one tutoring in Chinese, in a blended format involving both face-to-face and online interactions.

The TCSOL Certificate Program in New York (Fall 2016 – Spring 2017)

This program offers substantive training in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Upon successful completion, participants may transfer the equivalent of 6 credits into a master’s program in Applied Linguistics or Bilingual and Bicultural Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, should they be subsequently accepted into either program.
